For the preflight, we split up into two groups. The first group stayed with the platform and went through the calibrations and preflight steps to prepare the platform for flight. The second group departed to the flying area to lay out the ground control points. The weather for the flight was clear skies with little wind.
We started by powering up the transmitter and programming the intended flight path into the software.
We set the flight properties to 80 meters in altitude and camera straight down.
After programming the flight path, we powered up the platform and switched the transmitter's connection to the platform itself.
After connecting to the platform, we went through sensor calibration, calibrating the compass and then the accelerometer.
